Long gone are the days of cider in a can or a blue WKD. It would seem that our palettes have grown more sophisticated over the years, with a proper old fashioned being one of the most popular orders across NI 🤯

Of course, one of the most stylish hotels in the capital city has one of the most extravagant cocktail lounges. They've got everything behind the bar, from rare spirits to vintage champagnes.

Margot

This hidden gem sits below street level in Belfast's city centre, and it's one of Belfast's most fabulous secrets. Sip on cheeky cocktails and nibble your way through their delicious small plate menu, they're so tiny the calories don't count!

Cabaret Supper Club

Definitely one of Belfast's quirkiest bars, this couture spot is famous across the city for its jaw-dropping live entertainment and superb liquor. Your head will be spinning if not from the drinks, but from the burlesque, comedy, live music and even aerial acrobatics on offer.

Santeria

Santeria is one of the top bars in Belfast city centre dishing out first-class margaritas and other classics. It's one of the only places in town that is walk-in only, which is super handy!

The National

Their cocktail menu says it all – Sip, Sup & Swall! The National's eclectic space will have you feeling chilled from the moment you step inside. With a Mai Tai in hand, all your worries will slowly fade away. Their outdoor garden is a great spot to unwind on a summer's afternoon in the city.

Revolution de Cuba

Popular in cities like Liverpool, Glasgow and Manchester, you can't beat a night out in Cuba! From the Cuban-inspired décor to the fabulous music and lethal dancing, you won't be disappointed. Unsurprisingly, rum is a speciality at the bar, so be sure to ask for a mojito.

Broken Shaker

I mean with a name like this, you know you're in for a good time! Their menu is unlike anything else in the city, with a contemporary twist on some of the favourites, you'll love this spot. The energy and vibe here is always fun, for an extra special night out, why not order a crazy cocktail tree.

Rita’s

Rita's is the perfect destination for gin lovers and cocktail enthusiasts. They serve a mix of vintage and exotic flavours, their attention to detail is praised by all who visit. With over with 40 different bottles of gin to choose from, you can't go wrong.

The Perch

The Perch is Belfast's original rooftop bar, coincidentally perched beside sister bar Rita's you'll love this outdoor hideaway. Five floors high, on top of the historic Linenhouse Building, this venue features rustic brick clad walls and floral birdcages. The summer vibes here are unlike any other in the capital.

The Tipsy Bird

Sometimes you just can't beat a cocktail, cosy seat and catch up, and this is just the place for it! Finally reopening their doors for 2021, The Tipsy Bird is a quaint venue tucked away on Ann Street. They've been busy building a new bar called the Brewers Bar offering a selection of craft beers and covered outdoor seating.

The Observatory

For a glamorous night, the Observatory on the 23rd floor of the Grand Central hotel is worth the trip. Their signature cocktail menus are mixed using a selection of local spirits and whiskeys, so if you're new to the city this is a must-try.

Bert’s Jazz Bar

Chic, stylish and artsy, this is the sort of special place you can relax and sample every delicious concoction on the menu.

The Spaniard

The Spaniard is a unique place in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter, it's great for live music, sipping away on drinks and a downright good time. You can even bring your dog along, what more can you ask for?
