Line of Duty first hit our screens back in 2012 and has amassed a legion of loyal fans. The sixth series of the show aired in 2021 and is thought to have been the last - although viewers are holding out hope for series seven!

One character that was hugely popular was Superintendent Ted Hastings, played by local legend Adrian Dunbar. The Northern Irish police officer added unique charm to the sometimes-menacing anti-corruption unit. Hastings’ witty banter and local phrases helped to break up the formal police lingo and acronyms, so we've decided to take a look at some of his best lines.
