Stuart Banford speaks to Chase Rice at C2C Dublin
Chase Rice opened day three of Country to Country 2019 in Ireland.
Since signing a new record deal with Broken Bow Records in 2017, Chase Rice has been working hard to grow his fanbase over here. Rice’s latest album Lambs & Lions has taken his career on a new path, moving away from the party anthems of his previous album Ignite the Night.
Rising to fame as a contestant on US reality show Survivor in 2010, Rice has successfully made the transition to recording artist and he’s built himself a passionate fanbase. In 2014 his third album (his first for a major label), Ignite the Night, topped the US Country Charts. It housed the hit singles Ready Set Roll, which was certified Platinum, and Gonna Wanna Tonight. In 2017 Rice left Columbia Records and signed to Broken Bow Records, the home of his latest album Lambs & Lions.
The album’s first single, Three Chords & the Truth, saw a stark change in direction and was a teaser for a more stripped-down and personal record. Current single Eyes On You is climbing the charts around the globe and it looks like Rice is well on his way to building his international fanbase. He’s also one of the co-writers of Florida Georgia Line’s monster 2012 hit Cruise.
