Storm Claudia will bring impactful rain for much of England and Wales on Friday and into early Saturday, with Amber warnings issued by the Met Office for England and Wales.

By the weekend, the north of the UK will be firmly under a colder airmass, with overnight frosts and showers.

Looking ahead into next week, it will initially be noticeably colder everywhere, with a brisk northerly wind accentuating the colder feel and bringing the first snow of the season for some.
