In the space of a day, Northern Ireland’s Covid-19 vaccination programme has passed by three key milestone moments.

✅The total number of vaccines administered has exceeded 800,000 and now sits at 808,241.

✅The number of first doses provided has passed 700,000 - 703,334 people have received one jab.

✅The total of second doses has hit six-figures – it has reached the 100,000 mark, and more. 104,907 have now had a double vaccination in all.

The vaccination roll-out in NI began in December 2020.

Health Minister Robin Swann welcomed the continued progress.

He said: “All the immense work being done to deliver the vaccination programme is giving everyone in Northern Ireland hope and optimism for the future.

“More landmarks will be reached next week when we open the SSE Arena vaccination centre and community pharmacists begin administering vaccines.”
