An emotional video released by the Premier League shows the heart-warming story of a Belfast boy who was treated to a once-in-a-lifetime experience last weekend.

Seven-year-old Bobby Moore from Belvoir was invited to Old Trafford, after a clip of him celebrating his team's goal last year gathered momentum online.

The video was seen by Red Devils captain Bruno Fernandes who made Bobby's 'dream come true.'

The young football fan led out his beloved Manchester United team alongside Fernandes ahead of the Manchester derby against Manchester City, making history as the club's first wheelchair mascot.

Bobby has a condition called spinal muscular atrophy and uses a powerchair.

Speaking exclusively to Downtown Cool FM, Bobby told us he 'couldn't wait to touch the pitch.'

"The crowd was very noisy and I was a wee bit nervous but the other mascots helped me.

"It made me happy, very, very happy."

His dad Terence reflected on the experience and said 'it was a proud dad moment' and he 'couldn't stop crying.'

Speaking to us from his Belvoir home with Bobby by his side, the father and son duo told us they will never, ever forget the experience.

Terence said: "He's made history at Old Trafford so breaking that barrier down for any other kids to come in behind him that have this opportunity now so it's just a fantastic thing that he's done and I'm just so glad and so proud that it's my son and it's Bobby that's done that.

"It's just an amazing feeling, it'll never leave me."

Bobby's passion for football is clear to see, with his powerchair his signature club's red and proudly wearing his Man Utd kit as he spoke to us.

Terence said the whole experience was very emotional:

"We knew he was going over to Manchester but we didn't know he was going to be mascot until the week before whenever the guys came over they actually told us in person, they said they didn't want to tell us over text message.

"(Bobby) didn't find out until Bruno told him when we were over there so Bruno was the one who broke the news to him.

"Whenever the guy Adam told me I just burst into tears."

Now the Premier League have released an emotive video showing Bobby's experience and clearly showing the young boy's love for the sport.

Bruno Fernandes is heard telling Bobby 'I will be happy to have you by my side.'
