Tommy Tiernan is swapping the small screen for the stage with his brand new stand up show ‘tomfoolery' - a high energy mix of outrageous idea’s and whimsical flights of fancy.

Renowned for his no holds barred approach, Tommy has announced this morning that he's coming to Derry/Londonderry's Millennium Forum in September and Belfast's Waterfront Hall this November.

The Star of Channel 4’s hit show Derry Girls and Live at the Apollo (BBC), Tommy also hosts his own highly critically praised improvised chat show on RTE 1.

Voted Ireland's funniest living person and hailed by Billy Connolly as one of his 3 favourite comedians in the world, Tommy is set to cause mischief and leave audiences in stitches.

Breaking the news of his Irish tour on social media today, Tommy writes: "Here we go with some massive new Tomfoolery dates for autumn! Belfast, Derry, Drogheda and more.

Perhaps best known to a younger generation as Da Gerry in Derry Girls, fans went wild for the actor's cheeky one liners and 'special relationship' with Granda Joe.

Working on the show catapulted his career across the UK - he went from playing 300-seater theatres to 1000-seater theatres overnight.
