Ciaran Bartlett announces triumphant return to Belfast's BIGGEST stage
Last updated 21st Sep 2026
After two years staring thoughtfully into his deep and furry navel, Ciarán Bartlett is back — and he’s returning to Belfast's premiere venue with his biggest, funniest, and most outrageous live show yet.
Great To Be Here sees Ciarán Bartlett make a triumphant return to the forefront of Irish comedy in May 2027, armed with a brand-new show combining stand-up, storytelling and the brilliantly filthy musical comedy that is his unique trademark.

After stepping away from touring for two years, Bartlett has accumulated plenty of material. Great To Be Here is an all-new show packed with razor-sharp jokes, hilarious full-production musical numbers, and barely believable true stories from a couple of eventful years away from the stand-up stage.
It also marks the next chapter in Ciarán Bartlett's remarkable comedy career. Ciarán Bartlett has sold out the Ulster Hall, Waterfront Hall, Grand Opera House and the SSE Arena, all multiple times. Now, off the back of supporting Bill Burr across three shows in Belfast in July, as well as writing the script for Burr's upcoming movie Bender, Ciarán Bartlett is ready to go, once again, from packing comedy clubs to selling out the most prestigious venue in the land, the O2 Belfast, where Bartlett can often be seen screaming in support of his beloved Belfast Giants.
With popular podcasts such as No Blasters, Mythstories, and Back To The Features, Ciarán Bartlett has built an enormous and fiercely loyal local audience along the way, and this is the show that is all about giving the fans what they want- bucketfuls of dirt from the bottom of his heart.
Great To Be Here promises the full Ciarán Bartlett experience: huge, cascading, never-ending laughs, raucous storytelling, sharp crowd-work, musical one-liners, parody songs, unexpected musical interludes and the kind of joyful chaos that has made his live shows unlike anything else on the Irish comedy circuit.
Bartlett said: “I’ve been away from stand-up for two years, which has gave me plenty of time to become a calmer, wiser, and more mature person.
"But unfortunately, none of that happened. I'm still just an eejit with a guitar and a dream. I've got a load of new jokes and songs and I genuinely cannot wait to get back on the stage in the O2 Belfast. For once I actually might mean it when I say it’s Great To Be Here.”
By May 2027, it will be nearly three years since Bartlett's sold out run at the Grand Opera House. This will be the only big show Ciarán Bartlett will be performing in 2027. So don't miss out.
Things just weren't the same without him but now Ciarán Bartlett is back where he belongs.
