Dublin’s IMMA was transformed last weekend as thousands of fitness fans and wellness enthusiasts came together for WellFest’s milestone 10 year celebration. And it won't be too long to go until Northern Ireland's first-ever WellFest event in Ormeau Park on Saturday September 12th and Sunday September 13th 2026.

International fitness star Joe Wicks will headline the Belfast festival alongside his wife Rosie Wicks in a much‑anticipated main stage appearance, joining a standout lineup that includes Newry native Maeve Madden, Olympic and world champion gymnast Rhys McClenaghan, Belfast‑born therapist Owen O’Kane, and Irish Paralympic gold medallist Ellen Keane.

The first wave of acts announced for the September two day festival also features former Gladiator contestant and now strength coach Glenn Wilkinson, fitness trainer Kathryn McKinstry, dietitian Cáoileánn Conway, breathwork therapist Carla McGreevy, House of Voga, the Kilted Yogi Finlay Thomas Wilson, with many acts more to be announced over the coming months.

New insights from WellFest’s recent audience survey reinforce the growing demand for accessible, community‑driven fitness and wellbeing experiences across the island of Ireland, aligning strongly with the festival’s expansion into Belfast.

The survey findings show that 51% of attendees are regular gym‑goers, 66% have a strong interest in nutrition and healthy eating, and 59% prioritise mental wellbeing.

These trends reflect a Northern Irish audience increasingly engaged in strength training, functional fitness, nutrition and holistic health, making Belfast a timely and exciting addition to the WellFest calendar.

Anthony Kelly, co-founder of WellFest, comments “WellFest began with four friends around a kitchen table, imagining a festival where fitness, wellbeing and community could come together. Standing at IMMA this weekend to celebrate ten years of that idea brought to life was incredibly special.

"The atmosphere across both days was outstanding, from the main stage moments to new areas like WellMan and WellReformer. As we look ahead to Belfast this September, we’re excited to bring that same energy north for our first‑ever Belfast edition. It’s a landmark year for WellFest, and we’re proud to celebrate it with two unforgettable weekends.”

To mark the festival’s two‑city celebrations, all WellFest Dublin ticket holders will receive 20% off their WellFest Belfast tickets.
