Recently a new type of TV fan has emerged and they are binge watching series like Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black, Luther and more, in just one day.
Netflix have just revealed the UK’s top 20 of what they call binge raced shows, they are shows that have been watched within 24 hours of the show's launch. According to their research more than eight million viewers love to binge race, with some people finding a convenient 'dentist appointment' on the day their favourite TV show is released.
Daredevil
Between 2013 and 2016 the number of people who finished a TV series on the day of release has increased more than 20 times, so the streaming service decided to take a look at the most popular series for binge racing and these were the results.

As the Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) increases, fans don't want to miss out on any conversations about their favourite TV shows. With the opportunity to watch on the go, the popularity of catching up on your commute to work, or on your lunch break, is increasing the binge race.
Netflix have found that there are many different types of shows for binge racing, whether they are 30 minute comedies like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, or hour-long thrillers like Stranger Things, binge racers are on the increase.
