Popular TV host rumoured to join Strictly Come Dancing 2024
The show will return later this year
Now that the Strictly Come Dancing professionals have been announced for the 2024 series, many are speculating over which celebrities could be set to join them on the dance floor.
We've already heard of rumours surrounding the likes of Helen Worth after it was announced she's leaving Coronation Street, and comedian Alan Carr, but it looks like there could be another TV star joining the line-up.
According to reports, Homes Under The Hammer host, Martin Roberts could be the latest person to sign up to the popular show.
As reported by the Mirror, a source told The Daily Star newspaper: "Martin is just waiting to sign his contract. It'll be a dream come true for him - and a delight for viewers."
At a recent awards show, the TV host also hinted at the new signing, telling the newspaper: "I'm like a Ninja Mutant Hero Turtle - I just eat pizzas. Domino's Mighty Meat. I'm the stomach of Domino's, not the face of it.
"I should worry about what I eat because I had a health scare. I need to look after myself better.
"And certainly if I get this TV show later in the year. I'll have to get super fit."
In 2022, Martin was diagnosed with pericardial effusion, a condition where there is a build-up of fluid around the heart. At the time, it resulted in Martin being rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.
In addition to his hosting duties on Homes Under The Hammer, Martin has appeared in several TV shows including Celebrity Masterchef (being eliminated first), and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me out of Here in 2016, where he was the sixth to leave the show.
