Drama looms as Ekin-Su makes shock return to Love Island

She's the first bombshell!

It only feels like two minutes ago when Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu was keen to leave her Love Island past behind her during her stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house, but she's been lured back in by bosses, becoming the first bombshell of the All Stars series.

Turkish actress Ekin, who won series eight alongside Italian Stallion Davide Sanclimenti, shocked the Islanders and viewers at home during last night's (Monday 13th January) launch show, strutting into the South African villa to steal one of the boys.

Following a public vote, Love Island OG Scott Thomas was coupled up with 2019 Islander India Reynolds, and he was quick to confess that Ekin has 'slid into his DMs' in the past, making viewers convinced she's going to choose him.

Of course, in true Love Island fashion, the episode ended on a major cliffhanger, meaning viewers will have to wait until tonight's (Tuesday 14th January) instalment to find out Ekin's decision.

After seeing Ekin-Su's entrance, many viewers took to social media to express their opinion on the first bombshell of the new series.

One wrote: 'Yesssss😍😍😍😍 ahhh the queen is back 🔥🔥', with another writing: 'Let the entertainment commence💃🏽 I don’t blame her for being in Scott’s dms, I would too. 👀🤣'. (sic) Another then wrote: 'Bring Davide back!!!!'. (sic)

Speaking to bosses about why she's decided to return to show which made her famous, 30-year-old Ekin said: "I want to return to Love Island again because it’s where my journey started and has a special place in my heart. It’s somewhere I’ve laughed, cried and learnt so much. The fact that there's an opportunity to do it again - why not!

"Why can’t a winner go back in and re-write her story and have a second chance?! I think you should follow your gut and my gut is telling me to go back, so I’m listening to it."

Admitting exactly what she's looking for in the villa, she added: "I’m looking for someone who isn’t overly self-obsessed and someone that’s aware of flaws, because we all have them. I’d like a man that will love me when I’m in the worst mood possible but still understands why and has no judgments. I’d like someone supportive, I don’t care about looks and money - I want someone to be my biggest cheerleader."

Ekin-Su won series eight back in 2022 alongside Davide Sanclimenti, with the pair going on to enjoy a relationship outside of the villa, until Davide announced the pair had split in June 2023.

However, just weeks later the pair were back on, until the end of January 2024 when Ekin-Su wrote on Instagram: 'The last 18 months have been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, just like every relationship. Davide and I both wanted to make this work as we cared deeply for each other. Unfortunately, I have recently made the decision to end our relationship and to go our separate ways.

'Breakups are never easy. For any couple. And we hope that our privacy will be respected at this time. I enjoyed our time together and will cherish the memories we made.

'Thank you for your continued support. It's been so lovely to have you follow our Love Island journeys together since the villa and we hope you'll continue to follow our careers as we go off in our own directions'. (sic)

Ekin-Su then took part in the rebooted series of Celebrity Big Brother alongside the likes of Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne last year, and it's fair to say she didn't have the best of times in the house, clashing with a number of housemates before opting out of attending the live final.

Love Island: All Stars airs every night at 9pm on ITV2/STV2.
