Love Island bosses AXE Casa Amor for All Stars series but tease new twists
The All Stars series is going to shake things up!
As we count down the days until Love Island: All Stars hits our TV screens on Monday 15th January, more new details are emerging about the special series, including the all-important cast, and some pretty huge twists!
As fans of Love Island will know, the now infamous Casa Amor week is a staple of the show, often causing a tonne of drama for the cast thanks to new bombshells and turning heads.
But it sounds like the brand new All Stars series is going to be VERY different, as it's been revealed that bosses have decided to scrap Casa Amor, for the first time in seven years!
Love Island’s Executive Producer Mike Spencer told The Mirror: “We have got to be reactive. These islanders have done it all before so we have to be one step ahead of them. This give us the chance to shake it up and bring new islanders into the mix in new ways.”
He went on to reveal there will be some new twists to greet this year's cast, adding: “We have four hidden single beds in the lounge, so make of that what you will."
Another huge change for the All Stars series is the running time. Love Island fans have been glued to the show for a huge eight-week run over the last few years, but this time round it will only last five weeks, making it one of the shortest series in history.
Mike said: “Casa Amor, as we know and love it, doesn’t really work for a five week run because you need time to bed in, get to know each other, see if they are for you and if you want to switch it up.
"I think you don’t need the element of bringing a massive influx of new islanders in. That is good for an eight week run but you don’t need it for this. This is going to be more intense and people will fall for each other quicker."

Love Island host Maya Jama has already flown over to South Africa ahead of the launch show on Monday night, with the 29-year-old saying: "I’m excited to see them grown up and how they may have changed or evolved since we last saw them on screen. I’m interested to see if their energy has changed, will they be wilder or more tame since their original series?
"I also think seeing the dynamic between Islanders from so many different series coming together will be fun. All the drama and the potential couples that will come out of it, it’s exciting."
Love Island: All Stars begins on Monday 15th January at 9pm.
