I'm A Celeb's James McVey reveals how Harry Redknapp is helping him propose
The Vamps guitarist is now ready to take the next step
Last updated 13th Dec 2018
Football legend Harry Redknapp was pretty much the winner of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! from the very start. His hilarious anecdotes, kind heart and utter devotion to his wife Sandra won the nation over from pretty much the first episode back in November, so it was no surprise that he was crowned King of the Jungle last Sunday (9th Dec).
Aside from plenty of hilarious one-liners, Harry talked mainly about his wife Sandra, who he's been married to for 51 years - and it seems that their loving relationship has inspired his fellow campmate, James McVey from The Vamps.
The 25-year-old, who formed a close bond with Harry in the jungle due to their similar personalities, appeared on Loose Women today - and revealed that seeing Harry and Sandra together has prompted him to take the next step in his own relationship.
Viewers could see how in love James and his girlfriend Kirstie Brittain were when she entered the jungle as a surprise a few days before the final, and witnessed their emotional reunion when he left the jungle.
James told the Loose Women, "Harry and Sandra are the true love story. It’s very easy for us all to think it doesn’t exist. But it really does. They met when they were 17, courted for four years, then got married.
"They’re definitely the example that’s made me realise Kirstie and I are very happy with what we’ve got and we want to kind of do it really. He’s given me the inspiration to take the next step. No, I haven’t proposed yet.
"It’s funny actually, she had a ring with her, not the ring, but she had a ring and wore it on that finger without thinking anything of it. When we were papped leaving the hotel everyone thought we’d got engaged. I think soon. I need to get the ring."
James also revealed that he's already spoken to Harry about it - and that he's even given him some tips, "He has recommended a jeweller. I grew up in Dorset where he lives, so we have so many mutual friends and places and he’s picked me a place to go. He said, 'Just say that Harry sent you!'"
To no-one's surprise - except Holly Willoughby's - Harry Redknapp was crowned King of the Jungle ahead of Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack, who came second, and actor John Barrowman MBE, who came third.

His hilarious joke about being a football manager
Oh Harry, you joker!
When he rapped with Fleur East and Malique Thompson-Dwyer
After a brief discussion about grinding, Harry, Fleur and Malique made up a rap after asking which car Harry drives - and the results were BRILLIANT.
When he was SUPER blunt about Malique's departure
Obviously, he wasn't being mean about Malique - he just meant that they'd most likely be seeing each other in a matter of days!
When he spoke about the time he ran Sandra over
Harry unfortunately wasn't being super observant two years ago, and told his campmates, "I used to think I was a good driver but I had a nightmare and ran over my wife one day. She got out the car and I thought she'd crossed the road and I pulled forward and she fell into the road and a bus stopped literally yards away and the most amazing part of the story probably, my grand-daughter is sitting on top of the bus and sees all of this. Unreal."
When the campmates got split into teams
His competitive nature came out when they got split into teams, and he became one of the Roos.
When Noel had to hold a yabby in his mouth
During the Fall of Emperor Noel Bushtucker trial, Harry and Noel had to take it in turns to hold creatures in their mouths - and when Noel held a yabby in his mouth, Harry couldn't control himself, and yelled, "YABBA DABBA DOOOO."
When he had some words of comfort for Fleur East
Before Fleur took on the Gore Seasons Pizza Bushtucker trial, Harry had his very own unique way of comforting her.
When he had some thoughts about Fleur's music
In the Jungle Arms, the campmates took part in a little karaoke, when Fleur's song 'Sax' came on and they all tried to learn her dance routine. Harry wasn't convinced.
