Boy George left in tears over Matt Hancock's I'm A Celeb arrival
His mum was in hospital during the pandemic
It was the moment we'd all been waiting for during Wednesday's (9th November) episode of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, as late arrivals Seann Walsh and Matt Hancock entered the camp.
And despite bringing food with them, one camp mate in particular wasn't best pleased to see the former Health Secretary Matt in camp.
As well as getting a grilling from Charlene White, Scarlette Douglas, and Babatunde Aleshe, singer Boy George was visibly upset whilst talking about Matt's arrival.
Speaking to Scarlette about his mum being ill in hospital during the Coronavirus pandemic, Boy George said: "You know, beginning of the pandemic my mum was in hospital. I wasn’t allowed to see her.
"I thought she was going to die. I was tweeting Greenwich hospital going, 'Please look after my mum.'
"I used my name, I was like 'Please look after my mum.' And they did, she was fine. I feel like, I don’t want to be sitting here like I’m having fun with him.
"It’s difficult for me because, you know, had something happened, if my mum had gone, I wouldn’t be here now.
‘I would have gone when he walked in."
Speaking about the matter in the Bush Telegraph, the 61-year-old added: "If I had lost my mum, I would go.
"And I feel a little bit selfish, you know, just kind of… everyone’s so nice to him and I was like Jesus, what are we going to do?"
