Our favourite make-up competition Glow Up is back on our TV screens tonight welcoming a brand-new batch of contestants.

Now in its third series, the show is also welcoming new host Maya Jama, who replaces the competition’s former presenter Stacey Dooley.

Maya Jama

Based on the search for Britain’s next big make-up artist, 10 contestants battle it out each week to impress some of the beauty industry’s biggest names.

Each week will see the make-up artist hopefuls working on exciting campaigns under the watchful eye of judges Val Garland and Dominic Skinner, who are returning for series three.

Val Garland is more than qualified. She has worked in the make-up industry for 25 years and works as the global make up director for L'Oréal Paris. Dominic Skinner is the global senior artist for long-established make-up brand MAC.

The competition welcomes both amateurs and professionals. This series includes Ryley, who has no professional training, who has learned to embrace her birthmark by amplifying her previously perceived flaws with make-up.

Samah is an MUA at a make-up counter in London who is keen to defy outdated expectations of Muslim women, whilst young mum Dolly wants to make her daughter proud.

Watch Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star on BBC Three from Tuesday 20th April at 7pm.
