The new series has arrived
Last updated 10th Nov 2025
With reboots of TV shows such as Wheel of Fortune, You Bet! and Deal or No Deal in recent years, it seems ITV/STV bosses are not slowing down when it comes to bringing back much-loved game shows, with Bullseye hitting our screens for a Christmas special last December.
Is Bullseye getting a reboot?
Following the successful one-off special at Christmas, which pulled in audiences of over 8.6 million, darts-themed TV gameshow Bullseye is now getting a hugely-antipcated reboot in 2025.
ITV/STV bosses have commissioned a new series made up of 4x60 minute episodes, as well as a brand new Christmas special for 2025.
The new series will follow the show's original format with the playing teams made up of an amateur dart player, known as the ‘thrower’, and their team partner, the ‘knower’. They will combine their skills, throwing darts at different game boards, whilst answering questions correctly for ‘points and prizes’.
When it it on TV?
Bullseye started on Sunday 9th November at 8pm, with weekly episodes.

Who is hosting?
Just like he did for the Christmas special, Freddie Flintoff will host the new series.
Freddie said: “I love the darts and Bullseye was one of my favourite shows as a kid. I was really pleased people seemed to like the Christmas special and so now I’m thrilled I get to host the series. You can't beat a bit of Bully!”
Joe Mace, Entertainment Commissioning Editor, added: "Following the success of the Bullseye Christmas special last year, we're thrilled to have commissioned an additional four episodes and a Christmas special for ITV viewers to enjoy this year. And we are delighted that Freddie will be returning as host to entertain our audiences and darts fans alike."
Teen darts sensation Luke Littler also appears on the show.
How can I watch it?
Bullseye will air on ITV1/STV1 every Sunday night and ITVX/STV Player.
How can I apply?
Applications for Bullseye closed on Friday 19th September.
When was it originally on TV?
Originally created by Andrew Wood and Norman Vaughan, Bullseye first aired back in 1981, with Jim Bowen going on to host 14 series of the iconic show, before it came to an end in July 1995.
Dave Spikey then hosted a rebooted series in 2006, which was made-up of 30 episodes.
The game also featured on Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow in 2020.
