Kildare's Lea Heart has had quite the start to her music career - her track ‘A Million Goodbyes’ featured on Love Island, she hit the road touring with Picture This across the UK and Europe and she even fitted in a special performance at Cool FM earlier this summer.
Loved by many for her relatable heart-felt pop anthems, her music focused on issues of youth, love, heartache and all that is in between.
And she has just released her new single 'Happier' alongside a killer music video.
Speaking exclusively with Cool, Lea shares why it was so much fun to write a pop song that wasn't about a break-up.
"I went into the studio on my 22nd birthday last April, and we finished it up in August. It's definitely a little more rockier than what I usually do, but I feel like when the song is just there, the production moulds around it. It was just an upbeat, fun song, so I knew it had to be my next single."
Cool FM's Melissa Riddell is a big fan, so jumped at the chance to sit down with the star and have a proper chat.
They discuss everything from Electric Picnic highlights to their love of Little Mix 🤣
