Jax Jones' 'Tonight (D.I.Y.A)' gets a Pitbull remix 😮
Pitbull got in touch with Jax Jones 🙌
Last updated 23rd Sep 2024
Jax Jones released his song with Joel Corry and Jason Derulo, 'Tonight (D.I.Y.A)' back in the summer, but it's now had a remix with none other that Mr Worldwide himself, Pitbull. And it's a banger!
Jax was recently at the KISS studios when he was 'messing about' thinking, "what would it sound like if Pitbull jumped on this tune?" Asking Aaron in his team what his favourite Pitbull song it was, of course it was 'Timber', and it wasn't long before he managed to work some magic on his computer.
Telling his fans he's going to put in a drop after "the Jason Derulo bit", he searched his laptop for some Pitbull acappellas...
"This may or may not sound like trash," Jax admitted, before he belts out his new tune for his team, asking them if it works. And it does!
After Jax shared this video, fans have been calling out for the collab, with both Pitbull and Kesha (who featured on 'Timber') liking the post.
A fellow DJ wrote: 'Call him ASAP bruv', with another fan writing: 'The man himself put this on his story, I think you got it bro! Would be 🔥'. A third fan wrote: 'He should be calling you! @pitbull You know what you need to do'.
Now, just a couple of weeks later, and Jax has updated his fans once again. Sharing a video, Jax told his fans Pitbull got in touch and sent over an acappella, which he was going to add to his popular track.
Playing a few clips, he was super excited to hear Pitbull say his name, however, when it came to Joel's surname it didn't quite sound right! 🤣

Chatting to Tom Green on Hits Radio, Jax told us how the original collab came about. "So Joel Corry and I worked together on 'Out Out', which featured Saweetie and Charli XCX, big tune...
"And then we were like, we need to follow it up, so we started working on this. He (Joel Corry) knew Jason (Derulo), so he introduced us and we started working on this tune man! And the rest is history."
Away from music, Jax Jones has recently picked up an honorary doctorate from Brunel University, giving an inspirational speech to the other students. In his acceptance speech he said: "We started Jax Jones, I had no money, I was making house music, something different to what I grew up making, but it's the same process right?
"Immerse yourself in it and learn, apply the skills that you've got. It was crazy enough that it might just work, this was it, my last roll of the dice, the sound I made was 'I Got U' with Duke Dumont."
