She was dressed as her childhood hero
Last updated 2nd Jan 2019
When it comes to New Year's Eve celebrations, they come in all shapes and sizes. Of course when it comes to celebrity celebrations they are even more extravagant and as Taylor Swift's recent post shows she and her celebrity friends went all out!
Dressing up as their childhood heroes, Taylor Swift looked stunning as Ariel from The Little Mermaid, whilst Blake Lively looked fantastic as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and Gigi Hadid as Mary Poppins.
Taylor wished her fans a happy New Year, captioning her photo, 'Mary Poppins, Audrey, Ariel, Ms. Frizzle, Cinderella, Gwen, Mr. Toad, Avril, Nancy Drew, Posh Spice, Rizzo, Frida Kahlo, Steve Irwin, Dorothy.. This new year we decided to dress up as our childhood heroes. Sending you all love and hope going into 2019 💗'.
In the group photo, Gigi can be seen half way up the stairs with a black hair and bowler hat, totally nailing the nanny-extraordinaire - Mary Poppins.
The second photo posted by the 'Shake it Off' singer shows off her amazing costume in more detail, with waist-length red hair and a crab to add detail.
The final photo posted by the pop star shows Blake's husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, however it looks like he put less effort into his costume, as he was pictured wearing a grey suit, with a red tie around his neck.
Here are celebrities who are the best of friends:
Just hours before Taylor's amazing New Year's Eve party the new Netflix documentary following her 'reputation' tour dropped, allowing fans to get a front row seat at her concert. Her 'reputation' tour was the highest-selling tour in US history and included a fantastic show with pyro, fireworks, multiple stages and of course, her 63-foot cobra named Karyn!
