Former Line of Duty star Neil Morrissey teased fans on This Morning, hinting that his character Nigel Morton could return to the crime drama in future, reminding us all that his character was never actually killed off.
Speaking to Ruth and Eamonn on today's (6th April) edition of This Morning, the actor, who appeared in series one, two and three of the show, spoke of how he keeps reminding the show's creator, Jed Mercurio, that his character is very much still alive.
Neil told the presenters, "I keep telling Jed Mercurio that I’m very much alive. I just say, just bring me back and shoot me in the face!"
The star then laughed, "That’s what he does to all the stars, doesn’t he? Wipe me out, then that’s closure, isn’t it?"
