Those Love Island 2018 stars have their fingers in all the pies right now, don't they? Dani Dyer's turned author and is set to release her debut What Would Dani Do?, Megan Barton-Hanson and Jack Fincham are gearing up to bare all on The All New Monty 2019 and now Samira Mighty's been teasing a bold new career move.

It's a well-known fact that Samira's got a great set of vocal chords on her after her West End stint in Dreamgirls; and now she's been teasing some original music she's set to launch in our direction later this year.

Speaking to heatworld at the gala performance of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5: The Musical, Samira revealed she's heading into the studio to make a start on her pop career.

She said, "I'm so excited. I'm really nervous." When asked what vibe she's going for with her material, she spilled, "Summer, baby. I have it all in my head. I've literally been planning stuff for so long now; even before I was in musicals. I'm nervous, putting my songs out there.

"There's a couple of other artists that want to collab with me as well. I'm really excited."

And while she couldn't divulge which 'other artists' she might be working with, she did admit fellow Love Island alumni Amber Davies' West End debut might inspire her to return to the stage.

Samira said, "I hope to return soon, to be fair. I miss it a lot and watching Amber tonight I'm going to be really proud of her."
