I'm A Celeb's Andy Whyment shares adorable family reunion photo after coming second
He broke down over missing his family in the jungle
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2019 drew to a close last night (Sunday 8th Dec) after the final saw former EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa going up against Coronation Street legend Andy Whyment.
The pair became incredibly close in the camp, much like all the campmates, and when Jacqueline was announced as the new Queen of the Jungle, Andy had nothing but praise for her.
Andy won over the hearts of the nation during his jungle stint, showing a more vulnerable side as he broke down hearing his letter from home about how much he was missing his family.
But he's now been reunited with his wife Nicola Willis and their two children, Thomas and Hollie. Taking to Instagram, he shared an adorable photo of the family back together, writing, 'Back with the family, what an amazing experience I had in the jungle, I just want to say thank you so much with all my heart for everyone that voted for me you don’t know how much it means to me finishing 2nd, thanks again ❤️❤️❤️ x.'
Fans flocked to the comments to share their adoration for the soap star, who told hosts Ant and Dec how much it meant to him that viewers liked him for himself, rather than just knowing him as his Corrie character, Kirk Sutherland.
Fellow soap stars also wrote in the comments, with Emmerdale's Anthony Quinlan writing, 'You were awesome! Well done mate 👊🏻,' and his on-screen sister Samia Longchambon adding, 'Well done And!! Can’t wait to have you back... you’ve done yourself proud 👑😘👏🏼👏🏼 xxx.'
Tisha Merry also added, 'You did us all so proud Andy! ✨🤗 We loved every minute you were on our screens! #jungleking 🤴🏻.'
