Last updated 23rd Oct 2017
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Gemma Atkinson has revealed what her first song with dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec will be, along with the dance style they will be performing.
In an excited Instagram post Gemma revealed the song would be Shawn Mendez's ‘Nothing Holding Me Back’. In the video Aljaz can be seen singing the song while Gemma runs up behind him excitedly saying "Love It", in response to Aljaz asking if she likes the song.
Aljaz ends the video saying, "Cha cha" referring to the dance style they will be doing as Gemma says, "just need to learn the dance now!"
Aljaz also confirmed the song and dance style in an Instagram post captioned, ‘Can't wait to do CHA CHA CHA CHA CHA with @glouiseatkinson :))))) #lovethesong #tune’
Gemma and Aljaz were paired up in the first show of the new series of Strictly Come Dancing that started last weekend and the breakfast presenter has been training for eight hours everyday after her show.
Earlier this week her co-hosts brought Aljaz onto the show to ask her about how they were getting on and whether chemistry was important when dancing together. He said that he loves teaching someone who has never done ballroom or Latin before, which is great, because Gemma has previously said that she is like "Bambi on ice".
As the eight hours training every day is taking its toll on her feet, Gemma revealed her feet covered in plasters much to Matt and Mike's horror!
However, it seems that Matt and Mike already hate Gemma's feet, speaking on our sister station Key 103 she said, "They hate my feet Aljaz!" as they quizzed her dance partner about them, going on to reveal that they call them 'finger-toes'.
Put on the spot Aljaz was hesitant to reply to Mike's question and said "I have to be very careful about what I say don't I?"
In the end he said that at the promo event he had noticed her nail polish, however that wasn't what Matt and Mike really wanted to talk about.
