Earlier this month we reported how Dua Lipa was tipped to record the next James Bond theme tune. Now the singer has responded to the rumours at this year's Billboard Music Awards. When the she was asked on the red carpet about her potential involvement with a new James Bond theme tune she revealed, "I would love to do it", however she went on to say, "I’m not recording it so far, I don’t want to jinx it."

We still have our fingers crossed for her! Last week a number of publications were reporting that the 'New Rules' singer could be due to follow in the footsteps of Adele and Sam Smith by recording a new James Bond theme. The singer was tipped to be the favourite with many, even over other possible choices of Ed Sheeran and Adele (once again).

At the time the rumours started, Twitter went into meltdown with her fans getting extremely excited. One fan tweeted, 'oh my god @DUALIPA might record the next James Bond theme song, and I am already sensing an Oscar 👀' sic

With other fans also taking to Twitter to express their excitement.

Whilst we'll have to see what comes of a Dua Lipa James Bond theme tune, it turns out that Ed Sheeran already has a song ready! Last year Ed told The Late Late Show on Irish TV channel RTÉ, that he had a James Bond theme tune ready, "just in case.”

Despite having had the song for around three years the pop star refused to reveal its name saying that someone might steal it!

Watch the moment below.

The most recent James Bond films, Skyfall (2012) and Spectre (2015) had Adele and Sam Smith providing the theme tunes, with both songs doing incredibly well for the singers.

'Skyfall' reached top 10 around the world and sold over seven million copies worldwide for Adele, whilst Sam Smith's 'Writing's on the Wall' became the first James Bond theme tune to reach number 1 in the UK.

So, it looks like whoever gets the next James Bond theme tune will do very well!

20. The Lost City Of Z

2013's The Immigrant is sadly still waiting for a UK release, so praise be to the cinematic gods that James Gray's The Lost City Of Z arrived without delay. Based on the true-life tale of British explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam), this dense but always gripping biopic is part political drama, part family drama and part adventure.
On discovering the remnants of an indigenous society, Fawcett spent his life trying to prove his Amazonian finds until his unexplained disappearance in 1925. Containing one of the most beautiful scenes of the year, this undseen gem deserves, nay, demands your attention.
