Family's plea for information about missing Ayrshire teenager

The family of a teenager missing from Saltcoats say they are worried sick not knowing where he is.

Jamie Cannon, 19, was last seen at his home on Kinnier Road around 10am on Thursday May 20.

He was reported missing on Saturday, 22, May.

He is described as being six foot, one inch tall and when last seen he was wearing grey jogging bottoms, grey trainers, blue jacket and carrying a camouflage back pack.

Jamie's cousin, Leeanne Graham, told Clyde 1: "It's very unusual for Jamie not to be in touch, and all the family are out searching for him.

"We've been looking all around the Saltcoats area, and we've headed up to the Ardrossan area too.

"All the family are getting really concerned now that it's been a few days and we've had nothing from Jamie.

"Jamie, if you hear anything or see any of the social media posts, just please get in contact with anybody.

"You're not in any trouble, all your family just want you back safe."

Police Inspector Colin Shearer said of Irvine Police Station : “We are growing concerned for the welfare of Jamie as this is completely out of character for him. His family and friends and extremely worried about him.

“Jamie if you are reading this appeal, I would ask you to make contact with the police or your family or friends to let them know you are safe and well. "

Anyone who may have seen Jamie or knows his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 1623 of 22 May, 2021.
