Pop star Niall Horan was part of one of the world's biggest boybands - One Direction! Niall enjoyed global success alongside Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, the late Liam Payne and former member Zayn Malik. Despite the band going on hiatus, it didn't stop the former The X Factor contestants having amazing solo careers, with Niall now having three solo albums, and a fourth on the way.

Is Niall releasing new music?
'Dinner Party'
In March 2026, Niall announced he would be releasing the first song from his fourth album. The song called 'Dinner Party' is inspired by meeting his girlfriend the first time. ❤️
The song will be released on 20th March and follows the release of his collabs 'Drive Safe', released in February and 'Old Tricks', released in 2025. He said in a video on Instagram: "How we met was quite fun, so I've always kind of like tried to carry that through the album as well."
'Drive Safe'
Niall and Myles Smith released 'Drive Safe' on 6th February after several weeks of teasing. They joined Hits Radio Breakfast to talk about their collab and how it came about, with Myles admitted he just asked Niall over the phone.
Luckily Niall was already a fan of his and accepted saying it was an honour. "I was delighted," Niall told Hits Radio. "I'd messaged Myles previously just to tell him how big of a fan I was. And there was no way I was ever expecting him to be like, 'Do you want to jump on a song?' But he'd written this song a while back.
"And it's tough when someone asks you to do this because, it's very close to his heart, something like very serious to him. And for me to then come and write the rest of it with him was obviously a tall ask."
'Old Tricks'
Niall released a new song with country singer Thomas Rhett in October 2025 called 'Old Tricks'. The song was originally released on the deluxe edition of Thomas' album 'About a Woman', which was released in 2024. Blake Shelton joined Thomas on that version of the song.
'Heartbreak Weather'
In a post on Instagram on 25th March 2025, Niall revealed he'd be releasing a special edition of his second studio album 'Heartbreak Weather', complete with new bonus tracks. He wrote:
'To celebrate the 5th anniversary of Heartbreak Weather’s release, a special edition of the album with bonus tracks “Dress” and “Nothing,” along with live versions of several songs from the album, will be released digitally this Friday. Pre-orders for the physical editions, including a special limited edition deluxe vinyl with an additional live track, are now available from the link in my bio.
'I can’t thank you enough for the love and support you’ve continued to show for this album all these years later xx'. (sic)
The album was released digitally on Friday 28th March 2025, and physically on 15th August 2025.
Niall Horan's third album 'The Show'
Niall was on tour in 2024, which was in support of his third solo album 'The Show'. He revealed this album is different from his others because it is 'experiential'. The singer told fans as part of a Q&A session that: "When I wrote my first album I was 22 or 23 probably. I think things change, life changes, you grow up, your influences change a little bit, you want to be more experimental."
In June 2023, Niall released 'You Could Start a Cult' from the deluxe edition of the album, called 'The Show: The Encore'. He collaborated with American singer Lizzy McAlpine for a duet edition in October the same year.
Niall also released the second song from his album in April 2023, called 'Meltdown'. Niall explained to his fans that the song is about: "That panicky moment of feeling a little bit anxious and not sure if you're going to get out of it."
The singer released his comeback song 'Heaven' on 17th February 2023. Telling us the inspiration behind the song, he said: "I just started singing that chorus in the studio one night, like one o’clock in the morning... What does that match up to in my life?
"We're kinda told to kinda hit like all these milestones like through past generations and society or whatever. You have to have this career by that age, you have to get married at that age, you have to do this at this age.
"I’ve always been a bit of a person that kind of just lives in the moment, type people. Does things in my own time and I feel like we should all kind of be like that, a little bit."
Niall's album 'The Show' was certified Silver by the BPI in May 2024, translating to 60,000 album sales in the UK alone - pretty impressive!
Fourth album
Niall has now confirmed his fourth album has been finished. He joined Hits Radio as he was finalising his album, telling the excited presenters: "I'm in here finishing it right now. So I'm in the beat lab!"
He continued: "I'm just finishing off some vocal bits and things like that, that I wasn't happy with, but yeah! I should have music some time this year. And I'm very excited about it!"
Niall and Shawn Mendes
In August 2025, when Shawn Mendes brought his 'On The Road Again' tour to the UK, he welcomed Niall on stage to perform 'This Town'. The appearance wowed fans, who couldn't believe their luck as Niall walked out on stage with his guitar.
Is Niall on The Voice US?
Yes, Niall is a coach on The Voice US! Along with Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and Chance The Rapper, Niall took to the red chair for Season 23 of the talent show, in 2023. Of course, Niall himself started out on a TV talent show - The X Factor - so he'll have had an extra insight into what the contestants are thinking.

Niall's tribute to Liam Payne
The sad and shocking news was revealed on 16th October 2024 that Liam Payne had tragically passed away. The former One Direction and solo star sadly died after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina, with floods of tributes pouring in for the singer.
In a joint statement shared to the One Direction Instagram page, Niall, Harry, Louis and Zayn shared a tribute to their former band mate and 'brother'. The post read: 'We're completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing.
'In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever.
'For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.'
They signed it off with their names: 'Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry'.

- On some days Niall chooses not to wear any underwear! “I like to go free and easy from time to time,” he told Metro.
