He's going to be missed on the show

A brand new series of Beat The Chasers is due to hit our TV screens at the beginning of May, but popular Chaser Paul Sinha has announced he won't be involved, revealing he was ill when filming took place earlier this year.

Paul, who has previously opened up about living with Parkinson's disease, has confirmed he was unwell during filming for the show, but The Sinnerman didn't reveal details about his illness on this occasion.

After fans of the show noticed he was missing from the new promotional photos, Paul simply told fans on Twitter, 'On the week of recording, I was unwell. Happens.' (sic)

Paul warned fans back in March that he would be absent from the new series, reassuring his followers that he was 'feeling much better now' at the time.

Meanwhile, despite Paul's absence, Mark Labbett, Jenny Ryan, Shaun Wallace, Darragh Ennis and Anne Hegerty will all appear on the new series of Beat The Chasers, as well as popular host Bradley Walsh.

Former I'm A Celeb star and The Chase legend Anne Hegerty (The Governess), recently gave an update about her co-star's health.

Speaking to the Express, Anne said, “He wasn’t very well, he is a lot better now and he is looking forward to getting back to work. He was happy to get back to work as soon as possible, but the specialist was saying, ‘No you do need a few weeks off.’"

Beat The Chasers returns for series three on Monday 3rd May.
