Mike Bushell hits back at reports he's 'relieved' to leave Strictly
He lost out in the dance-off
After four tense dance-offs, news presenter Mike Bushell's Strictly Come Dancing journey finally come to an end last night (Sunday 10th November), when the judges chose to save Michelle Visage and her partner Giovanni Pernice.
Mike and his professional partner Katya Jones were given the boot in Week 8, with reports later suggesting that Mike admitted he was 'relieved' to finally leave the show, due to having 'nothing left in the tank'.
But now, following these reports, Mike has hit back claiming the reports are a 'complete fabrication'.
He told the Express, "This is so far from the truth, it is a complete fabrication and without any foundation.
"I’ve loved every second of my Strictly journey, it's the best show ever and I was really hoping to be competing in Blackpool and beyond. I’m gutted to be out but at the same time wanted to leave with head held high and gracious in defeat.
"When I was eliminated I wanted to celebrate the journey I’d been on, and the fact that I’m so excited to be doing the tour shows that I want my Strictly journey to go on."
