Michelle Keegan has confirmed series 4 of the smash hit BBC show Our Girl has started filming.

The news comes after she was spotted out in South Africa earlier this week, following confirmation she was reprising her role as the lead character Georgie Lane.

Michelle excitedly posted a photo on Instagram with her fellow co-stars with the caption, 'We back!!! Filming is way underway for season 4 of Our Girl!' (sic)

And she has been joined by a few familiar 'soap' faces that you might recognise.

The photo shows Michelle posing with Nico Mirallegro, who shot to fame playing Newt in Hollyoaks, and ex-EastEnders stars Amy-Leigh Hickman and Nabil Elouahabi, who played Linzi Bragg and Tariq Larousi respectively.

Speaking of her return, Michelle said, "It is such a joy to reprise the role of Georgie Lane and this season we return to Afghanistan where the British Army retains a presence training Afghan National Army personnel".

"With some of the most incredible and explosive scripts I’ve ever read, this 6 part story will rip the heart out of our loyal fan base and new viewers alike".
