MAFS UK stars Daniel and Matt reveal they are moving in together

The pair are making the move to Northern Ireland in the New Year

Daniel McKee and Matt Jameson made history earlier this year when they became the first gay couple to take part on E4 reality show Married At First Sight UK, and the experiment certainly paid off the for the pair!

As documented on Monday night's reunion show, Daniel, who is from County Antrim in Northern Ireland, and Matt, who is from Leeds in England, have remained together since filming ended in June, with the pair looking VERY loved-up.

And despite the couple not living together permanently just yet, they appeared on today's (Tuesday 5th October) episode of This Morning, where they told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield their big plans for the future.

Admitting they are going to look for houses in Northern Ireland together in the New Year, Dan confessed it's actually only a 30 minute flight to his home town of Leeds.

It also sounds like the pair are on the same wave length when it comes to children, with 27-year-old Daniel and 39-year-old Matt both confirming they'd love to start a family together in the coming years.

Speaking to OK! earlier this week, Dan said: "It’s something we both want and it will strengthen our relationship, but we’re also realistic about the situation. I can’t push a baby out and neither can Matt and we need to have a set up and have our careers sorted. But it will happen. Our parents are very supportive and, if you want a family, you do need to have a strong network on both sides.

Matt added: "Dan said five kids and three dogs!"

Dan then said: "But realistically, I think it will be three. But let’s have one first and see how it goes!"

Check out which other MAFS UK couples are still together:

Adam and Tayah - MARRIED

Adam and Tayah proved love at first sight most definitely IS a thing! These two immediately hit it off on their wedding day, with the pair even saying the L word on their honeymoon.

After zero issues throughout the process, viewers were over the moon when Adam proposed to Tayah for real during their final vow renewal.

Since the final episode, Adam and Tayah have been very loved-up on socials, and the couple welcomed their first child together in October 2022, a baby girl called Beau Emily Aveling. The pair got married for real during a festive ceremony in December 2023, and one year later they announced they are expecting their second baby!

Daniel and Matt - SPLIT

Despite seemingly falling for each other very quickly, Daniel and Matt had their struggles due to Matt living in Leeds and Daniel being from Northern Ireland. The pair remained together during the final vow renewal, and appeared seriously loved-up on social media, even looking to move in together in 2022.

Sadly, Matt and Dan took to their socials in December 2022 to reveal that they had split, admitting that they were better as friends, and that the split was amicable. In November 2024, the pair reunited at an official MAFS party, showing they are still good friends!

Luke and Morag - SPLIT

It's safe to say Luke and Morag didn't get off to the best start during the MAFS process. After Morag confessed she didn't find her husband attractive, the couple struggled with intimacy.

However, by the end of the process, Luke and Morag had seemingly found a spark, with the pair choosing to stay together during the final vow renewal.

Despite this, the pair confirmed during the reunion show they'd split up, with Morag admitting Luke hadn't phoned her since the process ended. However, Luke later said it was because Morag still didn't care for him.

Marilyse and Franky - SPLIT

These two shocked viewers during the final vow renewal when they revealed their true feelings for each other, with Franky even admitting he was ready to move back to the UK from Dubai.

Franky later gushed about his girl on social media, admitting he'd moved to the same town as Marilyse and met her children.

However, on Friday 8th October, the pair both released statements confirmed they'd split. They remain good friends.

Josh and Amy - SPLIT

There's no denying the fact that Josh and Amy had a whirlwind experience during the MAFS experiment. After the pair had initial doubts over their age-gap, the couple experienced a number of fiery arguments and disagreements.

However, by the end of the process the pair seemed closer than ever, with Josh opening up about his feelings towards Amy during the final vow renewal.

The pair have been pretty quiet on social media since the final and during the reunion show they confirmed they are no longer together.

Ahead of the sixth series of Married At First Sight, both Matt and Daniel praised the show for including the first ever gay couple, but viewers were slightly annoyed throughout at the lack of airtime the pair received.

Of course, this was due to the fact they had more or less no drama throughout the process, whereas the likes of Luke and Morag, Franky and Marilyse, and Josh and Amy's journeys weren't so smooth.

Although series six of MAFS UK has now ended, you can catch up the full series of All 4.
