MAFS Australia's Lucinda breaks silence after ex Timothy BLOCKS her
The pair are no longer friends
Although it didn't work out romantically for Married At First Sight Australia couple Lucinda Light and Timothy Smith, it had looked like the pair had racked up an amazing friendship after the show.
However, in recent weeks things have take a sour turn between the former couple, with Timothy speaking to Yahoo! Lifestyle about why they are no longer in contact, adding he thought “Lucinda was a little different to who he had been married to during filming”.
He told the publication: “The cameras do that to people. Lucinda may have buckled under the pressure with so many people wanting a piece of her.”
After hearing Tim's hurtful comments, Lucinda has now addressed the fall out herself, sharing a statement on social media after she was blocked by Tim.
Sharing a photo of the pair laughing on the show, Lucinda wrote: 'In regards to the comments and blocking Tim has done. Conscious, clear and kind communication would have been my preference. If I’d offended Tim, I would have loved a phone conversation toward resolve.
'A couple of times I’ve confided in other cast members about genuine processes I’ve had since the show and behaviours that have upset me. I’m sure I’m not alone in that, we all need to process and share. Going on a reality TV show has been a huge experience and in many ways, I’m still processing it.
'In my heart, I’ve always held Tim with understanding and compassion. I take responsibility for any hurt I may of caused by sharing my feelings and hurts. There are no hard feelings my end and I still hold a lantern of hope for our friendship. Ho’oponopono ~ I’m Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You, I Love You.
'I appreciate the feedback from any cast members or anyone that feels I’ve upset Tim in anyway, certainly not my intention. If Tim doesn’t know what I stand for from the months of hanging out then there’s nothing I can do to about that. I only wish Tim all the love & success.
'This is the last I’ll say on this piece, I’ve said what I have to say. I want to get on with my life~ I’ve got lots of love to share and I believe Tim does too. Everyone’s just trying their best in this one precious life and I for one don’t want to spend my energy and time in war, with anyone.' (sic)
It seems Lucinda has the support from some of her MAFS Australia co-stars, with Eden Harper writing: 'Love you so much you classy lady!! ❤️'.
Jade Pywell then commented: 'You are amazing Lu❤️❤️❤️ sending you so much love', with Andrea Thompson, who is also friends with Tim, adding: 'Love you my beautiful friend ❤️'.
Back in April, it had seemed like Lucinda and Tim's friendship was stronger than ever, with the pair meeting up in Sydney. Sharing photos from their date, Lucinda wrote: 'Caught up with this divine hunk of spunk recently in Sydney! Tim & I proceeded to ping pong back and forth our usual pr--k/b--ch dialogue as recent divorcees! Love ya Timbo!' (sic)
The 43-year-old also showed her support for Tim's close friendship with co-star Andrea, when the pair denied rumours they were dating in May.

Jade and Ridge - TOGETHER
On first impression, it had looked like late comers Jade and Ridge were the complete opposite, with many thinking 27-year-old Ridge could be too 'immature' for mum-of-one Jade. However, as the experiment went on, Ridge proved to both Jade and the viewers at home that he was ready for a long-term relationship, with Jade even introducing him to her young daughter.
With just a few minor hiccups throughout, Jade and Ridge made it to the final vows, much to the delight of viewers.
Are Jade and Ridge still together?
They are! As well as looking loved-up at the reunion show, Jade and Ridge have been very active on each other's social media accounts, proving they are very much still enjoying spending time together outside of the experiment.
The pair were hit with 'cheating claims' after two of Ridge's ex-girlfriends claimed he'd slept with them after the show, whilst he was in a relationship with Jade. Ridge strongly denied the claims, saying in an online statement: 'I've never cheated on Jade. We've had our ups and downs like in any relationship, but I'd never disrespect the future mother of my kids like that.
'Maybe you guys should check your facts before believing every bit of rubbish that's posted on the internet.'
The pair have since revealed that they have moved in together, with Ridge sharing the sweet news on Instagram, revealing he made the move to the Gold Coast. Not only that, but the pair got fans talking when Jade shared a sweet tribute to Ridge on Instagram, with him commenting: 'Love you gorgeous 💍❤️'. The engagement ring emoji had fans convinced that he had popped the question, however neither party has confirmed or denied this.
Eden and Jayden - SPLIT
Throughout the experiment, 28-year-old Eden and 26-year-old Jayden were undoubtedly one of the strongest couples, sailing through the first few weeks with no drama. However, during the final few weeks, cracks started to appear for the pair, especially when they had conflicting feelings about the information Eden had received regarding co-star Sara meeting up with her ex.
Despite this, the couple did make it to the final vows and they looked very cosy together at the reunion, and on social media.
Are Eden and Jayden still together?
In a complete shock to fans, just days after posting photos together on social media, Eden and Jayden released statements to announce they'd decided to split.
Sharing a number of photos alongside Jayden, Eden told fans: 'When I made the decision at final vows to be with Jayden, I really did that with longterm intentions. Jayden & I spent many months together after the experiment, during which Cub gained a dad and I gained a second family who I'm truly grateful for.
'I'm saddened to share that toward the end of the show airing, our relationship came to an unexpected end. The 'reality' is, the person I chose didn't choose me. Whilst I'm disappointed, I will never regret the experiment, the people I met, the lessons I learnt and the growth this process has had on me.
'Thank you for supporting us and for also wishing for the same fairytale that I had hoped for'. (sic)
Tori and Jack - TOGETHER
It's fair to say 27-year-old Tori and 34-year-old Jack were the most controversial couple from the 2024 series, mainly thanks to Jack's behaviour and shocking comments such as "muzzle your woman." Despite both the experts and their fellow co-stars calling out Jack's behaviour, the couple defied the odds and seemed strong by the end, even getting intimate during Home Stays week.
Tori and Jack made it all the way to the final vows, with the pair going on to storm out of the reunion show, before Tori posted some telling comments that she no longer speaks to any of her co-stars.
Are Tori and Jack still together?
In what is pretty much a massive shock to every MAFS fan, Tori and Jack ARE still dating, and they've moved in together! In a recent interview, Jack even confessed he could propose to Tori within one year!
Sara and Tim - SPLIT
29-year-old Sara and 31-year-old Tim didn't have the easiest of journeys during the 2024 experiment. Despite Tim's attempts, Sara cancelled on three dates he'd planned, and it was later revealed she'd been messaging and also met up with her ex-boyfriend behind Tim's back during filming.
Despite this, Sara admitted her wrongdoing and apologised to Tim, something which he accepted, leading the pair to the final vow ceremony.
Are Sara and Tim still together?
Although the pair were still together during the reunion show, not long later Sara announced the pair had split, with her telling Daily Mail Australia: "Tim and I are on friendly terms. We hadn't really spoken post like the actual break-up, but we're actually very friendly now."
According to rumours, Tim is now dating somebody called Barbara who he knew before the show, but this hasn't been confirmed.
Ellie and Jono - TOGETHER
32-year-old Ellie was originally paired with 39-year-old Ben by the experts, it didn't take long for their relationship to crumble, with the couple deciding to leave during the fourth commitment ceremony.
Although 39-year-old Jono made it all the way to final vows 32-year-old wife Lauren, the pair split during the ceremony when Lauren ended things, after discovering from the group that Jono had been in contact with Ellie.
Lauren and Ellie went on to get into a rather fiery argument during the reunion show.
Are Ellie and Jono still together?
Despite the drama surrounding the start of their relationship, Ellie and Jono are now officially together, with things going very well for the pair. Jono's ex-wife Lauren has even given her blessing to the couple, admitting she wishes them the best. However, Jono has since accused Lauren of having another partner during the experiment, which was cut out in the editing room.
In more exciting news for Lucinda, the marriage celebrant has recently announced she's touring the UK and Ireland in October and November, with 'An Evening With Lucinda'.
