Dancing On Ice fans accuse judges of 'rigging' scores ahead of final

Two celebs were eliminated during the semi-final

After eight spectacular weeks, the 2023 series of Dancing On Ice is set to come to an end next weekend, as the final is scheduled to take place on Sunday 12th March with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Sunday night's (5th March) semi-final saw not one, but two celebrities lose their place in the competition, with The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran and Coronation Street actress Mollie Gallagher becoming the latest evictees.

But after watching the emotional episode last night, viewers were quick to accuse judges Oti Mabsuse, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean of rigging their scores to benefit certain contestants.

Corrie actress Mollie paid tribute to Sophie Lancaster during her routine, who was brutally murdered by a group of teenagers in 2007, with Mollie's soap character mirroring the tragic storyline in the soap last year.

Despite fans praising her incredible routine, with many saying it left them with goosebumps, the judges all gave her 8.5, giving Mollie a score of 34 out of 40.

After seeing the scores, fans took to Twitter to express their anger, with many suggesting they'd underscored the 25-year-old.

One wrote: 'Underscoring mollie again when that was easily her best skate yet #dancingonice', with another writing: 'Nah underscoring Mollie like this week after week is a joke #DancingOnIce #doi'. (sic)

A third commented: 'Underscoring again bloody fix #DancingOnIce', with a fourth writing: 'Dancing on ice is so obviously rigged lmao'. (sic)

Another then wrote: 'I’m sure #DancingOnIce is rigged . Siva gets better and better each week, surely those who got all 10’s can’t improve anymore'. (sic)
