We can't quite believe we are saying this, but it's been a massive 20 years since Big Brother first hit our TV screens, when 11 strangers entered the famous house to take part in a social experiment.

After Craig Phillips was crowned the winner, taking home £70,000 in the process, the show went on to become a massive success, with 19 series gracing our screens between both Channel 4 and Channel 5.

Much to fans' disappointment, Big Brother was cancelled back in 2018, with Cameron Cole being crowned the last ever winner.

However, a few months back, Big Brother bosses announced the news that the show would be making somewhat of a comeback, in the form of a Big Brother: Best Shows Every Show, a special series to mark the show's 20th anniversary.

Although the official 20th anniversary is on 18th July, it has now been announced that Big Brother: Best Shows Every Show will air at 9pm on Sunday 14th June on E4.

The special series will air on E4, Sunday to Thursday for two weeks, with former hosts Davina McCall and Rylan Clark-Neal and narrator Marcus Bentley taking fans through the best moments of the last 20 years.

Speaking about the new special, Davina, who hosted Big Brother between 2000-2011, said, “I lived and breathed Big Brother for 11 years of my life. I didn’t miss one single episode. Not one week goes by when I don’t quote the show in some form. It made me laugh, it made me cry and most importantly it taught me to never judge a book by its cover.

"I love the show with all of my heart and can’t wait to share it with a whole new audience. And of course, all you diehard fans out there…It’s good to be back. Big Brother’s missed you.”

Although a lot of people would probably struggle to name the most recent Big Brother winners, in its prime the show was very popular with fans, giving people like Alison Hammond, Brian Dowling, Josie Gibson, Nadia Almada and Nikki Grahame the platform to fame.
