It doesn't seem two seconds ago that Taylor Swift dropped her super catchy hits 'You Need To Calm Down' and 'ME!', but now in a surprise move, she's dropped another! Taylor took to Instagram late last night to announce to her fans a brand new song called 'The Archer'.
The song, which is a chilled out track with an 80s synth vibe, is already a big hit with Taylor's fans. Speaking on Instagram Live she said, "There’s a lot that’s covered emotionally and I really wanted to give you track five before the album came out.
"I didn’t realise I was doing this, but as I was making albums, I guess I was just kind of putting a very vulnerable, personal, honest, emotional song as track five."
After, the pop star posted the artwork along with some lyrics from the songs, with fans immediately commenting saying how much they loved it, 'It actually caught me off guard lol I was not prepared for it 😂 #TheArcher #lover', one fan said, as another tweeted, 'It’s beautiful 😠#TheArcher'.
'The Archer' is very contrasting in sound to the other two songs dropped this year from the 'Shake It Off' singer. It is the third song to come from her forthcoming album, 'Lover', which is due out next month, and believed to have a massive 18 tracks, most of which have not yet been announced.

'Lover' will be Taylor's seventh studio album when it is released on 23rd August 2019. The album artwork was revealed earlier this year and features pastel shades in a major contrast to Taylor's previous, 'reputation' album and tour, which was black and red.
