Despite having a baby earlier this year with boyfriend A$AP Rocky, Rihanna says fans can still expect new music from her.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, back in February, Rihanna revealed: "Yes, you're still going to get music from me."

Joking: "My fans would kill me if they waited this long for a lullaby."

In September 2022, Rihanna was then confirmed to perform at the hugely popular Super Bowl half time show, due to take place next February. The singer shared an iconic photo of her hand holding an American football.

Speaking about the upcoming performance, on the red carpet of her Savage X Fenty Show, Rihanna told ET: "I can’t believe I even said yes. It was one of those things that even when I announced it, I was like, ‘OK, I can’t take it back. Now, it’s like final’."

She went on to say: "The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, it’s an entertainer’s dream to be on a stage like that, but it’s nerve-racking. You want to get it right. You know, everybody’s watching. And they’re rooting for you. And I want to get it right."

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Then in October, Marvel's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever teased a new release from Rihanna. Although the actual details of the release remain a mystery, the film have announced that we should expect something on 28th October.

It's been ages - almost six years - since we've had new music from the pop star, but it seems that having a baby won't stop the 'Diamonds' singer. Rihanna's sixth album, which she's teased over recent years, will be the follow-up to 'Anti', the album that spawned 'Work' with Drake.

It was way back in 2019 that rumours of Rihanna's new music first started. The Mirror reported that she was staying on the island of Osea where she invited her family to join her while she worked on new music.

Then in 2020 she told Vogue that she was "very aggressively working on music," saying the music would be on a "different level" and "worth the wait".
