It dropped unexpectedly in July 2025
Last updated 27th Feb 2026
Taking fans by surprise, Justin Bieber dropped his seventh album 'Swag' in July 2025, following a three-year break from music. The singer known for pop hits ‘Baby’, ‘Love Yourself’ and ‘Sorry’ released a full RnB album, featuring 21 songs.
How did he announce it?
Just hours ahead of the album's release, Justin shared several photos and videos of the news being broadcast to thousands on the screens in Times Square, New York, and other billboards across the US.
Along with revealing the album's name, many of the billboards also shared the extensive tracklist of 21 songs, including the title track, at number 17.
Throughout the following night, Justin posted more and more photos of the huge billboards spotted across the US, with fans flocking to the comments to express their excitement.
One fan commented: 'SWAG is amazing!! Such gorgeous songs. Your voice is perfect there’s no doubt you are one of the greatest vocalists of all time JB. We love love love love you bro!', with another writing: 'Justin, the Beliebers stayed up until dawn just because of the album release! 😍😍'.
'Swag' is Justin's seventh album, and his first album since 2021's ‘Justice’, which featured hits such as ‘Holy’ featuring Chance The Rapper and ‘Lonely’ with Benny Blanco.
What is the album called?
It is called 'Swag'.
What does it mean?
'Swag' is a nod to Justin's early days as an artist, when he used the word in songs, interviews and Tweets — remember his single 'Boyfriend', with the lyrics: 'Swag, swag, swag on you / Chillin' by the fire while we eatin' fondue'?
He later told The Hollywood Reporter in 2013: "I'm not going to say the word 'swag' anymore. It's played out. It’s over used."
In contrast to his early music though, 'Swag' actually has more mature themes of fatherhood, marriage and finding internal peace.

He also features American comedian and internet personality Druski in three of his tracks 'Therapy Session', 'Soulful' and 'Standing on Business' — where he holds a two-way conversation with Justin about recent events that took place in the public eye.
Eminem is also credited as a composer/lyricist on Justin's song 'Yukon' due to Justin's spin of a lyric from his song 'Untitled'.
What is 'Standing on Business'?
While the track 'Standing on Business' is not ACTUALLY a song, it's been added to reflect on a viral clip of Justin interacting with a member of the paparazzi, who Justin claimed was 'provoking him'.
In the clip, which has since toured the Internet a hundred times over, Justin says: "It's not clocking to you that I'm standing on business is it? You're standing around my car, at the beach. You don't get that I'm a real f----- guy do you? I'm a real dad, a real husband, a real man."
In the track on the album, Justin and Druski reflect on that moment, with Druski saying: "You were pronunciating every word!"
