Over the past year, James Arthur has kept busy, releasing his album 'Pisces' and embarking on his 'Pisces Tour 2026', which wrapped up last month. Earlier this week, James took to social media to share an update on his new music, and announce the release of a new cover, made famous by the legendary Etta James.
James shared a black and white video of himself, wearing a baseball cap, speaking to the camera, he said: "Hey everybody, sorry I've been a bit quiet since the tours. I've just been taking a little bit of time to decompress and spend some time with my little girl.
"I've been in the studio a little bit, there is new music on the way, in the not to distance future, but in the meantime, just to keep you, satiated, satisfied - whatever the word you want to use - I've recorded a cover of an old song, by Etta James, called 'At Last'. It's been covered by the likes of Beyoncé, Aretha Franklin, so... big shoes to fill."
He went on to describe it as a "little gift to his fans".
