If you're a fan of Gerry Cinnamon, you might have recognised one of the Scottish singer's songs while watching the latest series of Netflix's The Umbrella Academy. The new series dropped on 22nd June and fans of the singer were pleasantly surprised to hear the song in the hit show.
One of his best-known tracks 'Sometimes' appears in an early scene in the third series, as we get introduced to The Sparrow Academy in an action-packed montage in episode one.
A fan of the Scottish singer commented: 'Just gave me such a laugh. I was like ‘I know that voice!'' Another tweeted: 'The Umbrella Academy using a Gerry Cinnamon song in the first 5 mins of season 3? I’m here for it'.
With one fan adding: 'The umbrella academy season 3 kicking off with a Gerry Cinnamon song, I want to kiss the guys in charge of the music'. (sic)

Some people were a bit surprised to hear the song, and one fan took to Reddit to say: 'Just starting series 3 on The Umbrella Academy on Netflix and the first song they use is Sometimes by Gerry Cinnamon. Seems so out of place. I wonder if it will do for Gerry Cinnamon what Stranger Things did for Kate Bush.'
After being released in 1985, Kate Bush's amazing track 'Running Up That Hill' not only reentered the charts, but went to Number 1 around the world all these years later due to it featuring in series four of Stranger Things.
The song 'Sometimes' comes from Gerry's debut album 'Erratic Cinematic' which was released in 2017 and it could see the same surge in listening after appearing in the popular show.
Fans will likely get to hear him play the single live very soon, as Gerry is about to start his UK tour, which kicks off with two massive shows in Glasgow's Hampden Park on 16th and 17th June. You can get tickets for Gerry Cinnamon at Aloud.com.
