It's been two years to the month that Ed Sheeran made a comeback to music. Ed Sheeran released his fantastic singles 'Shape of You' and 'Castle On The Hill' in January 2017, signifying the beginning of his chart domination that year, with songs from his third studio album '÷'.
Now, the music video for 'Shape of You', which was uploaded on the 30th January 2017, has reached a massive YouTube milestone, becoming the second video ever to reach a huge four billion views! 'Shape of You' follows in the footsteps of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's version of 'Despacito', which reached the five billion milestone last year.
On its release in 2017, 'Shape of You' was soon tipped to be a potential hit, the song became the best selling-song of 2017 and the best selling digital song worldwide. 'Shape of You' was later covered by a number celebrities and fans, including a fantastic performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he was joined by the band Roots and went proper old skool using kids instruments!
Ed also joined us back in 2017 and did an amazing version of 'Shape of You' just for us, using only a loop pedal and his guitar. Amazing.
