Coldplay offer fan tickets to a REAL gig after he mistakenly buys tickets to a cinema screening
But he doesn't have a passport... yet!
Coldplay have been taking the world by storm with their amazing 'Music Of The Spheres' tour, but for one fan he didn't get what he bargained for.
The fan known as fingaldinz on social media, took to Instagram to share his story. He revealed how he bought some tickets to see a cinema screening of Coldplay, thinking it was the real band. When he took to social media to express his disappointment, Coldplay spotted his tweet and offered him some tickets to see them in Amsterdam!
Explaining how he'd set an alarm especially to buy tickets to see the band, fingaldinz wrote on Twitter: 'I’ve just sp-nked 25 quid on a Coldplay ticket thinking it was a concert, turns out it’s a cinema screen in Kendal of a concert there doing in Argentina. Are you taking the p-ss, it said live at the river plate I just presume that was the place in Kendal NOT ONCE did it say cinema. What a sh-te start to the day'. (sic)
He then continued in the Twitter thread: 'I’m so fuming ffs 25 quid for a cinema screen in Kendal I ain’t going to that no way'. (sic)
Going on to add: 'My heads fully gone been chasing Coldplay tickets for months set me alarm because more was coming out at 10am, couldn’t get one and then clock there’s a new one … one in Kendal yeah my arse why put a CINEMA SCREEN with all the actual concerts'. (sic)
However, despite his unfortunate mistake, it seems that Coldplay spotted his tweet and have now offered him a pair of tickets to see the actual band in Amsterdam, with travel and accommodation included!
Sharing a screenshot of the message he received, the lucky fan wrote: 'Hi there. The band saw your Kendal / River Plate mix up, and they'd like to invite you to come to an actual Coldplay live show in Amsterdam next month, if you'd like to? If so we'll sort train fares from the UK, a hotel room and two tickets to the show. Let us known if you fancy it! Coldplay HQ.'
Followed by a video explaining exactly what happened....
However, in the video he explains that at the moment he doesn't have a passport, as he sent off for a new one last week. So, we're all rooting for you fingaldinz, and hope you get your passport back in time. Good luck! 🍀
Coldplay have now finished the UK leg of their tour, and will be continuing their tour next week, with dates in Italy and across Europe. They will be playing four dates in Amsterdam in July.
