Cheryl has been largely away from the spotlight ever since she started a family with ex-boyfriend Liam Payne. After becoming pregnant with her first son Bear, the singer focused on family life and her music took a backseat.

But now, Cheryl has started work on her comeback music, and she's set to make her big return to The X Factor with a live performance for the first time in four years. According to reports, the former Girls Aloud star has signed up to perform her new single 'Love Made Me Do It' during a November live show.

According to recent reports, Cheryl's comeback single is about her failed romance with One Direction singer Liam, as well as her other relationships that turned sour.

A source said, "It's sure to be a hit. Inevitably, all of the big TV shows have been fighting to get Cheryl’s first performance as it will be a huge ratings winner. But she has decided to remain loyal to The X Factor rather than give the exclusive to its rival, BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

“And Cheryl will be pulling out all of the stops to make sure that this is one of her most talked-about performances to date."

The last time Cheryl performed on the talent show was back in 2014, when she sang 'I Don't Care' to a live studio audience... but this performance may be a little more awkward, as Liam's good friend Louis Tomlinson is now a judge on the show.

Whilst we wait for Cheryl's new music, you can hear some of her biggest hits on the Clyde 1 playlist.
