17 months after confirming their rumoured romance, Emmerdale boys Kris Mochrie (Lee Posner) and Max Parker (Luke Posner) have announced their engagement, sharing a number of pics and the proposal video.
Max took to Instagram to share the fantastic news telling his fans: 'He deserves the world, but the best I could do was promise him my heart. HE SAID YES 🤭❤️! Happiest moment of my life. @krismoc my Fiancé 😌'.
The actor shared a photo of the couple kissing, holding a bottle of champagne, as well as a short video showing his proposal to Kris.
Kris also took to his social channels to share the happy news saying: 'The beautiful soul that is my best friend asked me to marry him yesterday. I can’t begin to describe how happy I am.
'I love him beyond words, we laugh every single day and I’m so so grateful that he came in to my life.'
He continued: 'I had no idea at all! But it was just perfect… I mean this film says it all. Max had asked my Mum for any jewellery that my Gran had. Mum still had my Grans locket and he has had it made in to the middle of the engagement ring on the inside. So so special.
'Thank you to the job that brought us together, our incredible family and friends. And the amazing love from you all. I’m a very lucky boy.
'WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!!! ❤️❤️xxx'.
Messages of congratulations came in from fans and celebrities, with Emmerdale director and Brookside and EastEnders actor Leon Lopez saying: 'Ah congratulations mr 😍😍😍😍😍', and Emmerdale actor Anthony Quinlan saying: 'Aww buzzing! Congratulations guys ❤️'.
After meeting on the set of Emmerdale where the couple played brothers Lee and Luke Posner, they revealed they were dating in 2020. Kris left the soap in October 2019.
