Dancing On Ice's James Jordan updates fans following ripped hernia injury
He's performing!
Last updated 1st Mar 2019
Ever since his first ever performance on this year's series of Dancing On Ice, Strictly Come Dancing pro James Jordan has been one of the favourites to win the show. But with the Semi-Final taking place on Sunday, James picked up a nasty injury, with many worrying he'd have to quit.
But don't panic! Despite ripping his hernia open, James has broken his silence on the matter and revealed he WILL perform on Sunday night.
Taking to his Twitter account, James wrote, 'THANK YOU EVERYONE for all of your kind messages. YES I have ripped my hernia open again but nothing will stop me performing on @dancingonice until you guys stop voting.
He then added, 'And I never said I was pulling out! I know my body very well and I will be fine..... love you all'. sic
It has only been one year since James underwent a double hernia operation, taking to Instagram back in December 2018 to say, 'One year ago today I had my double hernia operation. Here’s me just before surgery. Amazing what can happen in one year...... we were both devastated to have to cancel our Tour, but I’ve always said the old saying ‘one door closes but another will always open’ Now I’m preparing for @dancingonice and I’m so excited to show you all how hard I’ve been working' sic.
Of course, James isn't the only celeb to pick up a nasty injury on this year's series. Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden injured his shoulder, Corrie star Jane Danson collapsed just hours before her performance, Gemma Collins fell flat on her face during a live show, and Love Island's Wes Nelson had a nasty fall whilst lifting his partner.
Meanwhile, with the Dancing On Ice 2019 final set to take place on Sunday 10th March, this weekend's Semi-Final will be full of surprises, with the four remaining celebs having to skate alone for 45 seconds.
