Pop star Ed Sheeran is believed to be working with the boyband Westlife, who are tipped to be having their comeback very soon. Last year, Louis Walsh confirmed Westlife, consisting of Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan will be getting back together, without former member Brian McFadden, to celebrate the group's 20th anniversary. And now it looks as though 'Shape of You' singer, Ed Sheeran, will be penning their comeback single.
Ed, who's had a loads of Number 1 songs himself, is also a well-known songwriter and has written numerous hits for the likes of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and a few One Direction songs, including 'Little Things' and '18'.
Now, many publications are reporting that Westlife have pulled out all the stops and managed to get the highly-successful pop star on board. They reportedly believe the addition of Ed will give them a contemporary edge for their reunion.

Westlife first started out in 1998 with a string on Number 1 songs in 1999 such as 'Swear It Again', 'If I Let You Go' and 'Flying Without Wings', to name just a few. Their huge success continued into the 2000s, however Brian McFadden left the band in 2004. Following Brian's departure, the group went on to release six more albums adding to the massive success they had as a five-piece.
However, now, if the rumours are true then four of the original members could be set to dominate the charts again, especially with hitmaker Ed Sheeran, behind them. During their incredibly successful years, Westlife sold a massive 40 million studio albums worldwide and had 14 Number 1 singles in the UK.
Now take a look at Top 10 facts about Ed Sheeran that you probably didn't know:
It was late last year that Louis Walsh appeared on This Morning and mentioned the idea of a reunion with a "few tours and a new album". However, at the time he admitted he hadn't spoken to the band about it.
You can hear Ed Sheeran's songs on Clyde 1.
