One week after Ant McPartlin's arrest, his on-screen partner Dec Donnelly has announced he's going to be a dad for the first time with his wife Ali Astall.
Announcing the couple's happy news on Instagram, the Britain's Got Talent presenter wrote, 'Just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely messages. The news has sneaked out a little earlier than we had hoped but Ali and I are delighted to be expecting our first child. Thanks for all the love, we really appreciate it ❤️ D x'. sic
Fans were quick to congratulate the 42-year-old, one user wrote, 'Awwww congratulations to you both' , with another adding, 'So happy for you both & all your families, great news!'. sic
It will be the couple's first child together after they tied the knot in a private ceremony in Newcastle back in 2015.

Dec's happy news comes just a week after his on-screen partner and best friendAnt McPartlin was charged with drink driving.
Earlier this week, Dec released a statement confirming the final two episodes of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will be going ahead.
He wrote, 'Whilst I never thought I'd be in this position, after much discussion and careful consideration we've decided that the remaining two shows of this series of Saturday Night Takeaway will go ahead.
'We made a promise to take hundreds of deserving winners to Florida to watch the series finale, and we will honour that. Everyone at ITV and the Takeaway team feels we owe it to the audience to complete the series. Dec x' sic
Dec will host Saturday Night Takeaway on his own when the show returns to ITV on Saturday 31st March.
