Derry Girls actress Saoirse-Monica Jackson announced news of her engagement to Glasgow DJ Hector Barbour, also known to many as Denis Sulta, at the beginning of February.
Gemma Collins and Rami Hawash
Reality TV star Gemma Collins announced her engagement to boyfriend Rami Hawash in February. Rami proposed to Gemma during a romantic trip to the Maldives, as the pair enjoyed a candle-lit dinner on the beach.

Following a six-year romance, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and actress Dakota Johnson reportedly got engaged in 2024! A source told The Mirror: "The couple got engaged a while ago and have kept the news private. But now they are being open about it with their circles.
"They have been besotted with each other from day one so taking this next step was inevitable."
Bradley Riches and Scott Johnston
Heartstopper actor and Celebrity Big Brother star Bradley Riches got engaged to his boyfriend Scott Johnston in April. The happy couple posted this cute snap after Scott popped the question on holiday!

Ashanti and Nelly announced in April that they are engaged, as well as the lovely news that they are expecting their first baby together. The pair confirmed the news via Essence magazine, with Ashanti telling the publication that 2024 is: "Such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation.

Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan, who won the Winter series of Love Island back in 2023, announced in April that they are now engaged! Kai shared photos from the moment he popped the question, whilst the pair enjoyed a gondola ride!
Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel
The 1975 frontman Matty Healy popped the question to his model girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel in June, following a whirlwind nine-month romance. The pair went official with their news when Gabbriette posted a snap of her ring to Instagram, writing: 'MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY B*** @trumanblack'.
Matty's mum Denise Welch then shared the news to her own account, writing: 'What a day!!! I wake up to find that @gabbriette and Matty had gone Instagram official on their engagement so I was able to tell everyone!!! After seven years together, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and actress Dakota Johnson have reportedly called time on their relationship, calling off their engagement. A source told Mail Online: "Chris and Dakota have tried desperately hard over the past few months to make their relationship work. They'll always have love for each other but they've both come to the conclusion the relationship cannot be sustained long-term. They're both busy people, Chris has been in Europe with Coldplay and they both have personal priorities, passions, and work commitments which don't naturally intertwine with each other. They wanted it to work but it just hasn't, and they've now accepted it is best to move on."
