Hilarious Elf on a Shelf ideas to try this year

The mysterious Elf is back for another year!

Elf on a Shelf
Author: Anna Sky Magliola

Elf on a Shelf has been taking the world by storm in the last few years and there are some very inventive parents out there.

If you're new to the Elf on a Shelf idea then it all stems from a book released in 2005. The children's picture book describes how 'scout elves' hide in people's homes to watch over events to see if the children have been good enough to receive presents from Santa this year. They then report back to Santa on how the children have been behaving in the run up to Christmas.

In recent years this Christmas tradition of following the antics of the mischievous Elf has seen parents all over the world coming up with fantastic scenarios for the scout elves.
