Florida Georgia Line was formed in Nashville, Tennessee - the home of country music! However, the clue is in the name, as Brian Kelley hails from Ormond Beach, Florida, and Tyler Hubbard is a native of Monroe, Georgia.
How did Florida Georgia Line become famous?
The two friends met in 2008 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and decided to start up a country duo act. They were amazingly discovered by chance by Nickelback producer Joey Moi and starting recording. It was their chart-topping 2012 single 'Cruise' that caught the attention of the music industry and they were signed by BMLG Records (formerly Republic Nashville).

Florida Georgia Line have collaborated with many big name artists! Their first major collaboration came in 2017 when they sang with pop star Bebe Rexha on 'Meant To Be'. The song had since racked up nearly 700 million online streams, and appears on Bebe Rexha's 2018 album 'Expectations'. Florida Georgia Line also invited legendary 90s group Backstreet Boys and fellow country artist Tim McGraw to join them on their 2016 album 'Dig Your Roots'.
